Running In Fear
Questions abound in our lives today. We are consumed with living in a world that is in uncharted territory. That’s why decision making is more important than ever. Recently, I was talking with Mike, the President of a successful tech/security company when he made a wise statement that caused me to stop and think. He said, “Generally, you make poorer decisions when you make them while trying to run or get away from something.”
That certainly feels like the mode in which many decisions are being made today. What if we stopped reacting out of fear and insecurity and started responding by facing the difficult issues of our day head on? What if we chose to make decisions based on respect and honoring others? What if we allowed common sense and decency to rule the day?
We all are experiencing significant challenges. How we face those obstacles says a lot about who we are as individuals. It’s time to stop running away and listen to Mike’s advice.
Decide to face the struggles in your life with wisdom and courage and you will make a difference.
