Some Have All The Luck

Have you noticed that some people seem to have all the luck? At least that’s what we like to tell ourselves as we struggle through this strange year of 2020. At a time when everything seems hard, there are people who seem to have everything going their way.

It is easy to believe that those who are experiencing success just happened to be at the right place at the right time. You might think that about Chris Lilly. He is a world renowned pit master as well as a member of the world BBQ Hall of Fame. He owns a famous BBQ restaurant and has dozens of BBQ competition, first-place medals. Don’t let his success fool you.

Chris has experienced ups and downs during his leadership journey. He learned about hard work as a boy and the importance of figuring things out. He has experienced failure and has learned from his mistakes. He also knows the origin of his luck. In our Crossing the Line podcast, Chris shares a truth that applies to all of us. He said, “I’ve noticed that the harder I work, the luckier I become.”

Take a few minutes to listen to Chris’ story. He will leave you with helpful nuggets of wisdom and encouragement.

Keep in mind that there is no substitute for old fashioned hard work and you will make a difference.
