Facing Today And Tomorrow

It’s been a tough few weeks for our country and the world. People are sick, dying and afraid. There are heroes who are valiantly fighting the coronavirus on the front lines. There are those who are fighting for their lives. There are essential workers who are keeping us supplied with the things we need. Most people are using common sense and staying in quarantined mode unless it is necessary to venture out.

I can’t speak to how others are handling this crisis, I only know that during this Easter season, I have hope. Allow me to share my heart. I have confidence in the greatest leader who ever lived. His name is Jesus. This week reminded me of His power, which is much greater than physical healing. He offers even more than the ability to fix this horrible crisis in which we find ourselves. Jesus offers to walk with me through the storm, but he also gives me hope beyond this world.

There has been and continues to be terrible suffering from this plague that has attacked our land. While the battle is incredibly difficult, I truly know that we will defeat this enemy. But our true hope isn’t in the elimination of a virus. For me it is in the death, burial and resurrection of the Leader who gives eternal life. It’s that eternal perspective that delivers authentic hope for me.

Because He lives, I can face today and tomorrow…. And so can you.
