Relationships are the Secret
Imagine a straight horizontal line that divides people-oriented individuals and task-oriented individuals. The people-oriented personality is represented above the line and the task-oriented personality is below the line. If you want to be successful in life, it is important to understand how to communicate and connect both above and below the line. In this LLM, we are going to focus on the above the line personalities.
There are two types of above the line personalities. I call one the Much-Loved Monkey and the other is the Tranquil Turtle. The Much-Loved Monkey loves to be around people. She enjoys a good laugh and desires to be in groups of people. He thinks verbally and loves to tell a good story. Much Loved Monkeys are extroverted and seek the approval of others. If you have a Much-Loved Monkey in your life, you can connect with them by having conversations filled with laughter and by verbally telling them how much they mean to you. They need your attention and your affirmation.
Tranquil Turtles are person oriented. They are introverted and do not like crowds but prefer one on one meaningful conversation. Tranquil Turtles need space to think as well as to go at their own pace. They are intrinsic thinkers who have much wisdom to offer if put in the right circumstances. They may seem distant but taking the time to get to know them on a deeper level will yield powerful results. If you have a Tranquil Turtle in your life, you can connect with them by listening to them and slowing down. They need your quality time.
Nothing is more important than relationships. Taking the time to learn how to relate to those around you is the secret to success in life. Try connecting with Much Loved Monkeys and Tranquil Turtles in your life. When you do, you will truly make a difference!
