Life is Uncertain
They were living their lives with routines and normal activities. Then their routines and normal lifestyles were destroyed. The residents who lived in the path of hurricane Ian will never be the same. This powerfully vicious storm devastated towns and left thousands homeless. The death toll is nearly 100 and continues to rise as the rescue workers make their way through the deadly path of Ian.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people impacted by this hurricane. The truth is, none of us are protected from life’s uncertainty. It could come in the form of a hurricane, tornado, fire, car accident or diagnosis from our doctor. No one is immune from the instant difficulties that life can bring.
We live in an era where people are grasping for security and assurance. Someone told me that we need to "love what we are in" and to "find joy in each day we have left" because none of us know how many of those we have.
Since life is uncertain it makes sense to live in the moment and appreciate each day that we are given. Make the most of your day by noticing the small things and being thankful for them. Tell someone that you love them, take that trip you have been putting off, start that project, take that leap of faith.
Don’t allow fear or apathy to define you. Instead, live each day to its fullest and you will make a difference.
