Customer Service
I was traveling recently and had two completely different experiences. While visiting a venue that offers tours for its guests, we met Jeremy and Jessica, our tour guides. They made the tour informative and fun displaying sincere people skills with professionalism. We left with an appreciation for the venue and our time spent touring the facility.
We visited another venue and had a totally different interaction with two employees who worked there. We were seeking help with a purchase. When I approached a young lady with a question I was given a look of annoyance and a short, unhelpful answer. I then asked a young male employee for help only to be brushed off as he scurried away from me. Those interactions left me feeling frustrated and wanting to suggest customer service training for the employees.
Regardless of the economy, pandemic or political climate, providing customers with good service is always a choice. This applies to each of us in our personal lives as well. Providing respect to those we love and live with is the most important kind of customer service.
Someone sent me a quote recently that says: If serving is below you, then leadership is beyond you.
Choose to provide great customer service and you will make a difference!
