Ashley’s Perseverance

The most important quality of a leader is not a talent or a skill. The one characteristic that a great leader must possess is perseverance. Pat Riley defined excellence as the “gradual result of always striving to do better.” Those who are leading well understand the importance of process and pivoting. They gain valuable lessons from difficulties and are willing to adapt when necessary. It’s easy to assume that the process of leading is instant and immediately gratifying. That is not true. Becoming a strong leader takes time, intention and fortitude.
