250 Years of Freedom

This week, America celebrates its 250th birthday. It all began with an extraordinary idea: that people could govern themselves, that freedom was worth protecting, and that liberty carries both opportunity and responsibility.

I realize that some who receive this email live outside the United States. I honor and respect that every nation has its own story, traditions, and journey. But here in America, Independence Day is a time to pause and reflect with gratitude. While our nation has never been perfect, the American experiment in democracy has always been one of continual growth. We are a country that strives to learn from its failures, pursue its highest ideals, and believe that each generation has the responsibility to leave this nation better than they found it.

Our freedom did not come without sacrifice. It was secured by ordinary men and women who chose to do extraordinary things. They led, served, and sacrificed so future generations could enjoy freedoms they themselves might never fully experience. Their courage reminds us that freedom has never been free. It has always required commitment, character, and people willing to stand for something greater than themselves. Even today, many continue to sacrifice to protect those freedoms.

As we gather with family and friends this Fourth of July, I will pause to give thanks to God for His incredible blessings and for those who came before us, laying the foundation and principles that have made this country what it is today.

When we shift from assuming freedom is free to being grateful for what it has truly cost, we will make a difference.

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Larry
