Nate Allen

Chief Nate Allen is a seasoned law enforcement executive consultant with experience from Knoxville, Tennessee, and Decatur, Alabama Police Departments. With over 36 years of experience, he has accomplishments in the areas of critical incident response planning, personal and corporate security preparedness, criminal investigations, and crime prevention through environmental design.

Among the myriad of accomplishments to his name, Chief Allen has made many acclaimed changes to the Decatur Police Department. Under his leadership, the department received its national accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). He has experience in planning and using critical thinking skills to enhance security and prepare organizations on how to handle critical incidents. Chief Allen led the Decatur Police Department through a Pandemic and the 2020-2021 Black Lives Matter Movement Protest season, without incident.

Chief Allen has a BA in Business Administration with a specialization in Homeland Security from North Central University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is also a graduate of the Georgia State University Senior Law Enforcement Command College, the Police Executive Research Foundation’s Senior Management Institute for Police Executives, and the FBI National Academy. Chief Allen is a member of the following national organizations: the Police Executive Research Forum, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, NOBLE, and the FBI National Academy.

Through Nate's experience, he is able to walk with organizations at any stage in their preparedness planning while bridging gaps between the organization and its employees.
