Rick Burgess, in his own words

Rick Burgess is a man that for many of you will need no introduction. Personally, I’ve heard his voice in the mornings in my car or house plenty of times, as he co-hosted his nationally syndicated radio program, The Rick and Bubba Show.

In this interview, Rick tells me his story in his own words. He takes us along on the journey of his life, from the lessons he learned in childhood (which he promptly forgot when he joined a rock-n-roll band as a young adult) to the woman who eventually set him straight (whom he wisely married), to the devastating loss of his young son.

Rick is a man who has lived an extraordinary life, full of the same highs and lows that we all face, and through all of it he has chosen to lead with vulnerability and use his influence to make a difference in the lives of others. I think you’ll enjoy this interview as much as I did. Thank you, Rick, for your candidness, and for teaching me that sometimes we can only find strength when we choose to be “weak enough".
